m_q1K0rFJd8gaQXMoAqYKPgATLANTA, GA – Make cash now by selling your old dust-covered toys and dolls at the Atlanta’s two Antique Toy & Doll Buying Shows.

Atlanta will be the site of two Antique Toy & Doll Buying Shows, the first from Jan. 16-19 at Peachtree City’s Hilton Garden Inn and then from Jan. 20-24 at Hilton Suites Atlanta Perimeter.

“Our last few Antique Toy & Doll Buying shows saw a number of people get more than $1,000 for their toys,” said Bruce Zalkin, one of the country’s leading authorities on vintage toys and dolls. “The show is interested in old toys and dolls from the mid-1970s and earlier. This is an opportunity for people to clean out their closets and discover toy treasures. We buy huge collections. No collection is too large.”

Zalkin said the toy-buying show is an excellent opportunity for people, especially for seniors, who have vintage toys and dolls and need cash. He encouraged people to bring as many old toys and dolls as they can. “We have helpers available. There is usually a waiting time of less than 10-15 minutes.”

Zalkin said he is especially interested in buying “1960s and older Barbie-related dolls and clothing, antique French and German Bisque Dolls, Lenci, Mattell, Madame Alexander (pre-1965), Shirley Temple, Ginny and most dolls before the 1960s.”

In addition to dolls, Zalkin said he is interested in toys, including pre-1970 Hot Wheels, cap guns, plastic models, tin wind-up toys, battery-operated toys and robots, super hero figures, cars and trucks, Tonka, Buddy L, Cast Iron, slot cars, PEZ dispensers (no feet) and Lionel and Flyer electric trains.

“Frankly, there are so many types of toys we can’t list them all. Bring any mid-1970s or older toys,” he said, adding that LEGOs and toys related to Star Wars and Transformers (pre-1990) are especially popular.

People can also bring Tiffany items, sterling silver, old costume jewelry, Hummel, Lladro and Royal Doulton figurines, advertising items and signs and other unusual antiques.
The first Antique Toy & Doll Buying show will be held 10-6 p.m. Jan. 16-19 the Hilton Garden Inn 2010 North Commerce Drive, Peachtree City. The second Antique Toy & Doll Buying Show will be held 10-6 p.m. Jan. 20-24 at the Hilton Suites Atlanta Perimeter, 6120 Peachtree Dunwoody Road Northeast. Admission is free. Parking is free.
